Bridging LATAM: Supermoon Builders at Stellar’s Meridian 2025

Stellar’s Meridian 2025 conference in Rio de Janeiro brought together over 1,000 developers, founders, and financial leaders to chart the future of digital finance in LATAM. Hosted at the Copacabana Palace, the two-day gathering showcased Stellar’s growing role in real-world asset tokenization, stablecoins, and cross-chain integrations, while emphasizing Latin America’s place in the global Web3 ecosystem.

As part of this initiative, Supermoon partnered with Stellar to support builders from across the Americas through community grants. Five selected founders received backing to attend Meridian 2025, share their work, and connect with global leaders.

The grantees included:

  • Santiago Hermoza (CryptoBit Magazine, Ecuador) — building an independent media platform focused on blockchain and crypto reporting.

  • Agu Rodríguez (MetaSoccer, Uruguay) — developing a football manager game where users own clubs and earn rewards.

  • Carlos Israel Jimenez (ILUM, Ecuador) — providing AI-driven digital transformation services to enhance organizational performance.

  • Anthony Benavides (Kuna, Ecuador) — creating a gamified platform that teaches financial literacy with Stellar micro-rewards.

  • Zahidul Islam (Jutsu Inc, USA) — building an AI Agent workforce platform for startups and enterprises.

Beyond the panels and announcements, the program highlighted the value of shared experiences. From side gatherings across Rio to community moments like hiking to Christ the Redeemer, these activities created space for deeper connections and collaboration between builders.
