The Edge Network Powering Real-World AI — Founder Highlights Vol. 01

Supermoon's Founder Highlights continues its January 2026 edition with a founder who has been building the infrastructure for physical AI since 2019 — long before it became a buzzword.

Neuron — The Planet's Edge Network

AI and robotics are moving into the physical world — but operating safely out there requires real-time, high-integrity data that today's centralised architectures simply can't deliver.

James Dunthorne and his team at Neuron are building the infrastructure layer for physical AI: a global edge network that connects, indexes, and monetises Internet of Things (IoT) devices so their data can power autonomous systems in the real world. They already have live airport installations, $650k in revenue, and partnerships with NATO, Thales, Collins Aerospace, and the UK's Civil Aviation Authority. Last month, they were selected from 3,600 applicants to join the NATO DIANA program to trial their aircraft and drone tracking network for defence and security markets.

As James puts it: "AI and robots are becoming the primary customers of this brave new world — and they need data that is real time, reliable, and trusted."

Neuron is raising a Seed round and looking for investors and partners aligned with AI, infrastructure, and robotics.
